tunk or treat!

this year we finally decided to go to the ward trunk or treat. now that we have kids, why wouldn't we? since little em is obsessed with sesame street we dressed her up as one of the two sesame street girl characters. meet our abby cadabby.

baker and i chose to dress up at the last minute. literally. we were at the store to find a costume, home and out the door within 10 minutes to get to the party. you can't see in this picture, but bake had a huge sumo suit on. classic. i was a geisha girl, and had i had a bit more time to get ready i would have looked much more like one. hatever right? it was for the kids.

emmy mostly hung out with her friend cookie monster. what would a holiday be without our best friend charlie?

baker of course had fun hanging out with all his dude friends. the sushi chef, the hazmat, the cookie and matt.

emerson loved hanging out at the cake walk. the music would go one and she would push all the buttons on the radio then as soon as the music would stop she would get so excited clap her hands and scream at the kids that were sitting in the chairs. it was sooo funny. she did this for probably a good 30 to 5 minutes.


when the lights got low it was time for trunk or treating. rather then walk emmy from car to car we decorated ours and passed out candy to the other kids. abby and the cookie monster sat in the bacak and tried to open every piece of candy that they could. only one casualty. eventually em ended up with the bowl on her head and the candy in her lap. apparently she wanted to wash her hair with it.
