Dancing Queen

Emmy is really into dancing lately, and apparently really into dancing along with the Easter Bunny that my dad and Kathy got her. Go figure. The funniest is the very end. Who does that?

It's Been Hot

And I mean reeeally hot. Like "I thought we were nowhere near the desert" hot. Extremely hot since we don't have AC at our place. Something about we will never need it because we have the ocean breeze uh huh, yeah right... also, did I mention it has been hot?

Really it's not too bad, but maybe that is because my little Emmy gets to stay in my favorite outfit all day long. A pampers cruiser.

Apparently Miz Emmy was not into the camera this day. I couldn't find a single one of her face. I guess she was more interested in the leaf, which eventually ended up in her mouth.

I would also like to assure you that we do feed our daughter. Although it may not look like it she does get a healthy nutritious well rounded meal with extra fat everyday. She just can not pack them on. I don't get it. I try to give her the fatty stuff too, but it is just not working in our favor. Any suggestions?

It's Been Awhile

Since I have seen a movie. A really long while, and I was in the mood. The stars aligned for me tonight because A. Baker let me have the night off ( I love you for that.. thank you again), and B. Kori accepted my invitation on a date. We saw this movie, and it was hilarious. But unless you are pregnant or have been pregnant before, you might not be able to appreciate it as much as KoKo and I did.

All I gotta say is it is filled with "baby mama drama".

Remember the State Song?

The one where you sing all the states in alphabetical order? Well I do, and every since Sunday I have been singing one state over and over again in my head. O-Hi-O! I think maybe, just maybe, that it might be because our brother in law Mr Michael Marquardt just signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. Are you kidding me? The ratio of kids that actually go to the NFL from College is low.. like only 10% low. And we are happy and proud to say that he is in that very small 10%.

So without further adieu, we would like to say congratulations to him and our sister Camilla. You can find them here. You guys are wonderful and we are so extremely happy for you.

I vote now that you change your blog address from marquardtphx to marquardtcin. It just makes sense.

Adios Maroon and Gold, Hello Orange and Black.

PS. A special thank you to my wonderful husband for writing such thoughtful things about me, and taking care of those "If you don't post soon I'm gonna" threats I have been getting. I love you!

My Wife

Last week I figured out how to log on to our family blog and wanted to post about my beautiful wife Jenny. This is my first time posting so I hope the layout works out the way I want it to. She is always posting and updating you readers (stalkers too) about our life and everything that is happening. I thought I would brag and let you know what a great wife/mom Jenny is.

One thing I looked for in a girl when I was dating seriously was the confidence to know that when the time came and we were to have kids, would I have any problems leaving my children with this girl? Guys look for this, I promise you there are girls out there that would rather watch "soap shows" and not pay attention to the kids or care if the house looked like Hurrican Katrina just hit!! I have never doubted nor thought about Jenny not being the most perfect mother for Emerson and our 10 remaining kids (WINK). She is just perfect for me in every single way and I love how she is my second half. I have so many faults, and am sure Jenny can name them one by one, but love how she balances my weeknesses out. Most of you who know me understand that I have no patience and especially when it comes to incompetent people. My wife always gives me a little nudge or look and tells me to simmer down when I am on the verge of getting riled up. My two favorite times of the day are waking up next to her and coming home from work. I love waking up next to her because every morning I get up first and unless I have workout plans or golf plans I just sit in bed and get wrestless. I find myself either looking at her or finding creative ways to wake her up so we can hang and talk before work. I love coming home from work and seeing my two girls with big grins on their faces.

This was my first post and hopefully there will be more to come. Jenny you are the greatest and I couldn't imagine life without you. Thanks for all you have done for me over the last five years since we started dating and I look forward to many many more years. Thanks for being such a great Mom to Emerson. This is one of my favorite pics of Jenn and I. We were either engaged here or dating!!

Love

So I know it has been awhile. I promise that I will be back soon.. in the meantime please enjoy this picture of Em and her cousin Lilly. We only got one shot in before the two of them went crazy. Lucky for us they were both looking cute. Too bad it was the one with the 80's rug. They are mighty adorable though. I promise there will be an update soon.
