Absolutely sick thinking about tomorrow. I absolutely just want to cry AGAIN about it. How in the world am I going to do this? 6 whole days without her? This sucks.

Walk for a Cause!

I just wanted to tell my sister how proud I am of her and all the work she is doing for her local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation branch.

As kids we lost a great family friend to CF, and as adults both Rebecca and I found out we were carriers. She is doing a big walk for the CFF next week and I just want to wish her luck with the rest of her work.

She has a fund raising goal that she has just met the half way mark of. If you are interested you can pledge for her at her home page. Just click here.

Way to go Becks!

Party of the Century!

We all remember last year around Mothers day and the fiasco I had at work in regards to the Ellen show? If you don't remember, you can read it here. Traumatic I know, but this year was a different story. Thanks to Kori and covert operation "Ellen Tickets" we stumbled, or shall I say miraculously got a pair of tickets after they picked Kori from the millions who applied online. Whats that? You doubt there were millions? Me too, but it makes my story sound a bit better.

Today was the taping, and it was the funnest thing in the world. I woke up at 5:30 this morning so excited! Or was it Baker waking me up on his way out the door for golf.. hmmm. I really didn't care what we got, or if we got anything at all, I was just so elated that I had a ticket and nothing was going to stop me from going this year.

We had absolutely so much fun standing in line and meeting and talking to all those pregnant ladies. I especially had a great time talking to this one:

Meet Chrissy (the dark haired one on the right. The other one? Yeah thats me, I jumped on the "Bang Wagon" but don't worry, I am not used to them either). Chrissy is originally from Mesa AZ, she was there with her sister. They were quite possibly the two sweetest girls there. Our initial conversation went something like this:

Chrissy: Hi, can I ask you a kind of weird maybe creepy story?
Me: Of course what is it?
C: Do you have a blog?
M Laughing : Umm, yeah do you read it?
C: YES! And I hope you don't think I am weird.
M: Not at all! Whats your name?
C: Chrissy, and this is my sister Michelle (Turns to her sister) Michelle this is my friend Jen Morphy.

Ha, can you believe that? I love this blogging world. The best part about it was that she went on to tell me that the reason she got tickets to the show was because of me. She told me that she was so sad for me last year and as soon as she found out in January that she was pregnant she emailed Ellen and asked for tickets.. lo and behold 3 months later they called her back and here she was... sitting next to me. Chrissy it was so good to meet you, and can you believe all of our loot!

Kori and I drove home not being able to believe that we were lucky enough to be there and to get all this stuff. I am so glad for Kori since she pretty much got her entire nursery! Thanks again Kori for being pregnant so we could go. Now we just need to plan our service project.

Anther Reason to Party

My very good friend Nora, whom you can find here, celebrated her birthday this last weekend. I wasn't able to celebrate with her... she was in Monrovia (Shocker!), so I decided to have a little lunch for on Tuesday. It was absolutely so much fun. Everything, the planning, the cooking, the doing, and most importantly the lunch itself!

Ironically enough I didn't get any pictures of the girls that came. For some reason I always forget to take pictures. It wasn't until the kids were up from their naps that I even brought it out. These three are buds only three weeks between each one.

The two of Emmy and Charlie make me laugh so hard for some reason. I love those little kids. All three of them.

Nora I hope you had an absolute wonderful birthday. I am so thankful to have you as a friend. You are one in a million!

Party Central!

I have had lots of things to celebrate this week so I took full advantage.

I do a dinner swap with a few other girls in my ward, we all pick a night and cook for eachother. My night is Monday, and since this Monday was Cinco de Mayo we had a little fiesta at our place..... margaritas and all. Virgin of course. Can I even say that word on my blog?

We had yummy 7 layer dip, carne asada, chicken tacos and my favorite sweet corn cake. It was soooo good. Even Emmy joined in on the yummy food.

A Night of Bests

So tonight the Davis' were kind enough to invite us to the Angels game. It was our first one of the season, and the weather could not have been better. I didn't need a jacket. Perfect. We had the BEST seats. Like only this far away:

I can not complain about how my little Emmy did. We kept her out almost three hours past her bedtime, and she didn't even make a peep... except when she was trying to sing along with the music. She was the BEST little girl.

She even got to have her way with the BEST ice cream sandwich in town.

And to top it all off, I got to spend the night with my BEST friend.

Thanks again Brad and Koko for the BEST night out in quite some time.

As an FYI these photos were taken with a phone so they are not the best quality.
